Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

Hova is built to respect your privacy. You don't need an account, and we don't collect personal information about you. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the app handles and why.

The short version

Information stored on your device

Everything you create in Hova — your workouts, completed sessions, streaks, weekly goal, display name, and body weight (used only to estimate calories burned) — is stored locally on your iPhone. This data is not transmitted to us or to any server, and it is removed when you delete the app.

Anonymous analytics

To understand how features are used and improve the app, Hova collects anonymous product analytics through PostHog. These events are configured to be fully anonymous:

Typical events include things like "a workout was started," "onboarding was completed," or "the statistics screen was viewed" — used to see which features matter, not who is using them.

Purchases

Hova offers an optional subscription, Hova Pro. Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never receive or store your payment details. To manage entitlements (knowing whether a subscription is active) we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and your purchase receipt from Apple. This is not linked to your name or contact details.

Notifications

Hova does not send you push or scheduled notifications.

Third-party services

These providers process limited data strictly to make the app work:

Children

Hova is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
